Go Pro – Go Retina

Go Pro – Go Retina

Apple is known not only for the invention of its electronic devices, they also invent new technologies. The most recent advancement Apple introduced in the Retina Display for its Mac book Pro. The technology was first introduced in iPhone, iPod, and iPad. Steve Jobs (the one person who really turned the world upside down with his inventions) first introduced the Retina Display on iPhone 4.He explained it as 4 times more pixels being actually fixed in the same space, which was a hats off statement and invention.

WHAT STEVE JOBS SAID:

Steve Jobs said that “It turns out that there is a magic number right around 300 pixels per inch that, when you hold something around 10 or 12 inches away from your eyes, is the limit of the human (retina’s display) to differentiate the pixels. We all know that digital prints are based on pixels (the squares which are combined together to create an image or character). The clarity and sharpness of the image is dependent on the number of pixels used in the given space. The ultimate goal for Retina Display is to make sure that pixels are not visible to naked eye and so was the thought of Steve Jobs.

WHAT IS THE IMPACT:

With Retina Display, the virtual world will look more like the real world. The sharpness, scalability, pixels and the depths of the designs would enter a whole new dimension altogether. The world is stunned by this first step taken by Apple to use a resolution of 2,880 X 1,800 pixels in a 15 inch screen. That is way beyond the previous laptop systems and also beats the best desktop screens we have seen.

WHAT IS OUR ACTION:

There are some who say that Retina Display would be an epidemic headache for the designers as they need to work double on the designs and make sure that all the websites or applications designed are displayed according to the display users own. However, we (Cygnis Media) are committed to offer the best services in business and have already started to work on Retina Display competitive designs. So, each user has good experience when visiting a website or Facebook application that we designed. We have decided to make sure that our upcoming apps would have Retina support (it is true that it might increase the time of designing the app, but we always go an extra mile for customer satisfaction and to follow the best practices).

The advantage of having Retina Display compatible designs for your website or customized Facebook applications is the users who use Macbook Pro with Retina Display are able to view your website as intended and not blurry or pixelated. The world is moving ahead with technology and every day we see something new and exciting available that is ready to be used.

The only con that we can think of right now for Retina Display is the device is costly. But, the price you pay for it is worth it. When you view your Retina Display and compare it to your old display you will definitely see the difference and would be happy that you made the right decision to make the purchase.

CONCLUSION:

The future of displays is Retina, screens that allows you to virtually communicate with a person as if you are meeting in person. Where playing a video game is like having adventures in real life, where you feel like you are in a movie and not just watching it. Retina display is just the beginning of revolution for screen displays; we still have a lot to see and far to go with respect to displays. We are sure there would be yet new and exciting things for us to use in future that will blow our mind.
