The Collection is a new horror movie scheduled for release in December 2012. The movie is about a man who escapes from the vicious grips of the serial killer known as "The Collector" and is blackmailed to rescue an innocent girl from the killer's booby- trapped warehouse.
The application is designed and branded in a horror theme similar to the movie. The user is asked to collect their 5 favorite video games from a list provided by IGN. Users can view descriptions, screenshots and trailers for each game and add them to their list. Once they complete their list of 5 games, they can enter the sweepstake in order to win several prizes from IGN and The Collection.
The contest was a huge success with the goal being reached within a week and thousands of games collected along with thousands of people having viewed the movie trailer as well.
